This course is designed to give you a foundational understanding of teaching and learning theories and best practices, curriculum, course design and evaluation in an online educational environment. You will learn some information about these topics and also evaluate your course and see what aligns with this learning as well as what might need alteration. This is done using a variety of techniques and in collaboration with the Innovation Faculty.

The course consists of sections that are designed to give you the information and practice elements for the successful creation of a sound active teaching method. Please skim areas you are familiar with and scour areas that might be new to you. We want this course to be user friendly while also covering sound teaching pedagogy. Each section was designed to take about 5 hours, but some of that depends on your prior knowledge and/or contemplation of concepts or ideas.
